Tournament Tradition 1936 Seattle Open
The
state's first taste of tour golf
came at Inglewood, with all of the game's greatest players mixed in among
the 130-man field. McDonald Smith and Ralph Guldahl finished
tied after four rounds, forcing an 18-hole Monday playoff. Smith won by
shooting a then course-record 65 to Guldahl's 71.
